TOI-OHOMAI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

Each year more than 1,400 international students select this institute as their tertiary study institution of choice. Like the students, the International Centre consists of staff from all over the globe who understand your needs better than anyone. Because of this, they're well equipped to help you achieve your study goals while enjoying and experiencing the great New Zealand culture.

Why TOI-OHOMAI?

Decades of experience
Approved study options

Toi Ohomai programmes are approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA), and have international recognition. Applied learning is provided at master’s, postgraduate, graduate, degree, diploma, and certificate levels in technical, vocational, and professional fields.

International student support
Being a successful student isn’t just about academics, you need to take care of yourself as well. Toi Ohomai is committed to providing a high level of care and support – and some fun along the way – to our students and have a range of services available.

Two international centres to assist you
Because our international students have different experiences and needs than our domestic students, our main campuses in Rotorua and Tauranga have dedicated International Centres with staff in various roles to assist you.

Living and studying overseas can be challenging, so come see us if you need help with any questions or issues concerning studying and living here. We will work closely with you and other support services to ensure you are happy and secure. If we cannot help you directly, we will find services on campus or in the community that can.

Throughout the year we’ll also organise some fun social events and functions for you to enjoy.

The international teams provide assistance and advice on:

finding temporary accommodation;

enrolment processes;

medical and travel insurance;

visa queries;

the grievance procedure;

termination of enrolment and the refund policy;

Maori culture and understanding;

employability and study pathways;

volunteering opportunities;

wellbeing and guidance based on the New Zealand Ministry of Education Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students.
