Student support:

TPP is committed to providing a valuable learning experience to its international students. Its staff will assist you when you need advice, or act on your behalf. They provide information about entry requirements and application status, student visa renewal, tuition fees, orientation and support throughout the year, activities and groups, counselling services, accommodation, travel and health insurance … in fact, just about anything you can think of. These services cost you nothing, they are offered free of charge.

Code of Practice

TPP has agreed to observe and be bound by the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students. Copies of the Code are available from the New Zealand Ministry of Education website at www.minedu.govt.nz/international.

Immigration

Full details of immigration requirements, advice on rights to employment in New Zealand while studying, and reporting requirements, are available from Immigration New Zealand and can be viewed on their website at www.immigration.govt.nz.

Eligibility for health services

Most international students are not entitled to publicly funded health services while in New Zealand. If you receive medical 
treatment during your visit, you may be liable for the full costs of that treatment. Full details on entitlements to publicly funded health services are available through the Ministry of Health and can be viewed on their website at www.moh.govt.nz.

Accident insurance

The Accident Compensation Corporation provides accident insurance for all New Zealand citizens, residents and temporary visitors to New Zealand, but you may still be liable for all other medical and related costs. Further information can be viewed on the ACC website at www.acc.co.nz.

Medical and travel insurance

TPP pays medical and travel insurance for its international students. This is part of our commitment to care for you. We want to be sure you have appropriate and current medical and travel insurance while in New Zealand

Refund policy

If for any reason you decide you don’t want to study with TPP, you must withdraw from your chosen programme in writing.

·         If you withdraw prior to the programme start date, you will be charged NZ$500 for administration costs and be eligible to receive a refund of 80% of tuition fees. 

·         If you withdraw within the first 10 calendar days of the programme start date, you will be charged NZ$500 for administration 

·         Costs and be eligible to receive a refund of 50% of tuition fees.

·         If you withdraw after 10 calendar days, you will not be eligible for a refund. 

·         In certain circumstances a case for compassionate consideration for a refund can be made to the Chief Executive
